What are neuronal network mechanisms and theoretical foundations of brain function? How can insights from basic research into brain function contribute to our understanding of brain dysfunction? And how can we apply this knowledge for developing better diagnostics and new therapies for brain disease and injury? These are some of the questions our scientists are seeking to answer. ► Mission Statement

Outstanding performance in the field of hearing research
Dr. Nicole Roßkothen-Kuhl, Head of the Neurobiological Research Laboratory at the ENT Clinic, University Medical Center Freiburg and member of the Bernstein Center Freiburg, was awarded with the Meyer-zum-Gottesberge Prize 2020.

Absage Ringvorlesung Wintersemester 2020/2021

Loop, Resonate, and Accelerate!

Neuroscientists demonstrate how to improve communication between different regions of the brain. They have now presented their results in the journal PLoS Computational Biology.

Bernstein-CorTec Award 2020

In 2020, the Bernstein-CorTec-Award will be awarded for the first time to to honor outstanding scientific achievements in the interdisciplinary field of Computational Neuroscience and Neurotechnology.
