In my talk I will introduce my project, an interactive application for neural simulation which operates with NEST. It is designed for students, scientist or anyone else with genuine interest in understanding brain functions on a network level.
Furthermore, the application is implemented with some interesting features summarized in these keywords: intuitive - interactive - live - shareable - open-source.
Finally, it is a powerful educational tool, which can be used for introducing young students from various disciplines to the basic workings of neural networks.
Note that the application is in an early development stage. However, you are welcome to download and test it on your computer (See the installation instruction on www.npmjs.com/nest-desktop). I appreciate your ideas, suggestions, constructive feedbacks, critics or even your contribution to this project.
The talk is open to the public. Guests are cordially invited!
