Abstract:
I am modeling and analyzing the effect of homeostatic plasticity in a biologically plausible recurrent neural networks. I am investigating the influence of heterogeneous network topology, spontaneous activity, external current-driven activity and propagating waves of activity on the network functionality (information transmission and processing). Preliminary results indicate that homeostatic plasticity allows the network to response to a wide range of input intensities.
